The State of Florida uses a point system to monitor driving violations. Receiving a traffic ticket in Florida will result in 3 or more points being added to your driving record. Most drivers are able to attend an online traffic school course to get the ticket dismissed and keep the points off the driving record.
If you received two or more tickets in one year then you may be required to attend an 8 Hour Online Traffic School. This is sometimes referred to as the Intermediate Driver Improvement or 8 hour Basic Driver Improvement course.
Taking the traffic school is not an option like the traffic ticket course. You will either be referred by the court or ordered by the judge to take the 8 hour online traffic school.
There are 8 hour traffic school providers with class room locations throughout the state. There are only a few companies offering the 8 hour traffic school online.
The court requires you to complete the course within a specified time period so make sure that you sign up with one of the above 8 Hour Online Traffic Schools right away.
